Robert W. Blake

Memorial Social Justice Scholarship

The International Congress for Critical Pedagogy and Transformative Leadership announces:

Dr. Robert W. Blake was a teacher, principal, professor, and scholar in the United States for over 60 years.  His major body of work has focused on literacy, linguistics, and language learning through a lens of social justice and critical pedagogy, having been widely published in various journals and books beginning in 1964.

In his later years, Robert was a regular attendee at the International Congress where he supported the work of “young” and/or “new” researchers, scholars, and artists who otherwise would not be able to attend.

It is in his honour that this scholarship is awarded.

Criteria for application:

Please submit a 2-page summary of your recent work, outlining specifically how the principles and practices of critical pedagogy have influenced your work. Discuss the ways in which the Congress can further your work.
